Tamkeen Launches Initiative to Train 50,000 Bahrainis in Artificial Intelligence by 2030

Bahrain’s Labour Fund, Tamkeen, has introduced a pioneering initiative aimed at training 50,000 Bahrainis in Artificial Intelligence (AI) by 2030. This initiative underscores Tamkeen’s commitment to investing in Bahraini talent, providing them with in-demand skills to enhance their competitiveness in the labor market through targeted training programs.

The initiative follows directives from Tamkeen’s Chairman, Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and consists of three key training tracks. The first track targets leaders and executives, focusing on shifting their mindset towards proactive AI adoption and enabling them to integrate AI applications effectively in their organizations.

The second track provides general AI training for Bahrainis, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to utilize AI tools for automation, data analytics, and boosting productivity. The third track is aimed at developing AI specialists, training them to build AI tools.

This initiative aligns with Tamkeen’s strategic priorities for 2025, which aim to enhance the competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector by equipping them with essential skills for career development. The primary goal is to support enterprise growth, digitization, and sustainability, while also strengthening the ecosystem surrounding the labor market and private sector.

To deliver these programs, Tamkeen has partnered with leading local and international training providers.
