Telesat and ADN Telecom Forge Multi-Year Partnership to Deliver LEO Connectivity Across South Asia

Telesat, a global leader in satellite communications, and ADN Telecom Limited, a prominent telecommunications provider, have announced a multi-year partnership to bring Telesat Lightspeed low earth orbit (LEO) connectivity solutions to Bangladesh and South Asia. The partnership aims to meet the region’s growing demand for resilient and mission-critical connectivity for telecom, enterprise, and government sectors.

Telesat, with over 55 years of satellite operations and engineering expertise, has designed its state-of-the-art LEO network to address the evolving needs of its customers. The Telesat Lightspeed constellation is already in development, with the first satellite scheduled for launch in the second half of next year.

Through this partnership, Telesat will provide its Lightspeed services, along with a Smart Virtual Network Operator (VNO) capability for ADN Telecom. This will allow ADN to offer customized connectivity solutions for enterprise, maritime, and government clients. ADN Telecom will also participate in the early field trials of Telesat Lightspeed services, with full-time services expected to launch in late 2027, offering industry-leading committed information rates and guaranteed service level agreements (SLAs).
