Morocco is poised to play a pivotal role in Africa’s digital transformation, hosting the third edition of GITEX AFRICA Morocco in Marrakech from April 14-16, 2025. The event, supported by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, brings together global tech leaders, investors, and innovators to advance Africa’s digital future.

The focus of GITEX AFRICA Morocco will be on innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), and driving the growth of Africa’s startup ecosystem. The event will feature over 1,450 exhibitors, with new countries represented, and is expected to welcome more than 45,000 visitors from over 130 countries. It will serve as a platform for discussions on AI’s role in shaping the continent’s future, as well as opportunities for digital investment, collaboration, and research.

Key partners like the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) will play an active role in facilitating connections between investors and entrepreneurs, with over $2 billion in funding for African startups rebounding to pre-pandemic levels. Notable international tech giants, including Cisco, Ericsson, and Salesforce, will make their debut, showcasing new technological advancements and forming new partnerships to capitalize on Africa’s digital potential.

The event also emphasizes Morocco’s efforts to strengthen its position as a regional digital hub, following the vision set by His Majesty King Mohammed VI. This vision includes developing skilled tech talent, advancing digital infrastructure, and promoting a culture of responsible digitalization within the country and the broader MENA region.
