ITHCA Group and Yango Group Complete Acquisition of Otaxi to Boost Digital Transformation in Oman

ITHCA Group and global technology firm Yango Group have successfully completed the full acquisition of Otaxi, a popular Omani ride-hailing platform, in a strategic move designed to accelerate digital transformation in the Sultanate. This acquisition marks the official introduction of the Yango ecosystem in Oman, bringing AI-driven solutions and advanced digital services to the region.

The acquisition is coordinated with the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, aligning with Oman Vision 2040’s objectives to diversify the national economy through technological innovation. The partnership aims to upgrade Otaxi’s digital infrastructure, enhancing service precision, scalability, and accessibility.

The expansion of Otaxi’s operations will cover all governorates in Oman, introducing new services such as home delivery, vehicle rentals, and smart mapping. Said bin Abdullah al Mandhari, CEO of ITHCA Group, described the acquisition as a “critical turning point” for Otaxi, allowing the platform to integrate into a global tech ecosystem and providing emerging startups with unmatched growth opportunities.

Mandhari further noted that the partnership with Yango would help Otaxi adopt international operational standards, boosting its competitive edge both locally and globally. The strategic alliance is expected to diversify Otaxi’s services across various sectors, fostering comprehensive service integration and improving the customer experience.
