Flat6Labs, a prominent MENA venture capital firm, has partnered with Tamwilcom, a Moroccan credit institution, to accelerate the growth of startups in Morocco. This collaboration follows an agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to support early-stage startups through funding, mentorship, and business development.
The partnership focuses on startups in high-potential sectors such as AgriTech, FinTech, AI, GreenTech, digital health, big data, and more. The goal is to strengthen Morocco’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and drive private sector-led growth by fostering innovation and digital transformation.
Flat6Labs will play a key role in designing and implementing a support program, offering technical and financial mentorship to help startups secure investments and scale locally and internationally. Hicham Zanati Serghini, General Manager of Tamwilcom, highlighted that Flat6Labs’ experience in startup acceleration, particularly in fundraising and business expansion, will bring significant value to the initiative.
This collaboration, part of a broader effort to promote innovation, follows the December 2023 agreement with the IFC, aimed at enhancing Morocco’s investment environment and facilitating early-stage financing access. David Tinel, IFC’s regional representative for the Maghreb, emphasized the importance of this partnership in supporting Morocco’s digital transformation and development goals.
