PTCL Reports Strong Q1 2025 Growth, Achieves 22% Revenue Increase

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the leading telecom and ICT services provider in Pakistan, has announced impressive financial results for Q1 2025, ending March 31, 2025. The results, presented during a Board of Directors meeting in Islamabad, highlight significant growth and a strong market position.

In Q1 2025, PTCL Group achieved an outstanding 22% year-over-year revenue growth, reaching Rs 61.8 billion. This robust performance was fueled by substantial growth in consumer segments, including fixed broadband and mobile data, as well as notable contributions from enterprise and carrier wholesale services.

PTCL’s revenue increased by 14% YoY, reaching Rs 29.6 billion, driven primarily by a 70% growth in its Flash Fiber service and a 23% increase in Business Solutions. The company’s Enterprise Business posted a 23% revenue increase, while the Carrier and Wholesale business saw a 24% revenue rise. The international segment also contributed, with an 8% increase in revenue compared to the same period last year. PTCL recorded an operating profit of Rs 4.1 billion, representing a 40% increase, while net profit reached Rs 1.2 billion in Q1 2025.

Ufone (PTML) also demonstrated solid growth, with a 21% increase in revenue compared to Q1 2024 and an 11% rise in operating profit compared to the last quarter of 2024. This performance was driven by enhanced customer experience and digital engagement through new data-centric products and strategic partnerships. Additionally, U Microfinance Bank (UBank) reported a significant 77% YoY revenue increase.

A major highlight of PTCL’s Q1 performance was the continued success of its Flash Fiber service, which surpassed 700K customers, leading to a 70% YoY revenue growth. PTCL’s commitment to digital transformation was evident with the launch of Pakistan’s first WhatsApp-based bill payment solution, offering customers enhanced convenience, security, and accessibility.

Ufone’s expansion into 4G services further underscored PTCL’s focus on digital innovation, with offerings such as the ‘Super 5’ package, which allows up to five users to seamlessly share data and resources. PTCL’s digital brand also saw substantial growth, with a 183% increase in subscribers.

In addition to its business achievements, PTCL Group continued to give back to the community through its social impact platform, ‘Dil Se,’ which promotes digital inclusion, compassion, and innovation across Pakistan.
