The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of Oman is set to introduce new regulatory measures aimed at improving transparency and consumer rights. Among the key developments is a new regulation ensuring accurate billing systems, addressing consumer concerns about fair charges. Additionally, the TRA is launching the “Commercial Caller ID” project, which will require corporate call centers to display their true identity and the purpose of calls, aiming to reduce misleading commercial calls.
These initiatives are part of Oman’s broader strategy to modernize the telecom regulatory environment while ensuring consumer protection and service transparency.
