Orange MEA Division Continues Growth with Strong Q1 2025 Performance

Orange Group has highlighted the continued success of its Middle East and Africa (MEA) division, which has achieved its eighth consecutive quarter of growth despite ongoing global economic challenges. Group CEO Christel Heydemann noted that all growth engines within the MEA business are performing well, with data services driving 60% of the region’s revenue growth in Q1.

The company attributes this success to its ongoing investment in 4G and 5G networks. Orange now serves 80 million customers across the region and has reached 20 million users on its multifunctional app, ‘Max It’.

Revenue in the MEA region grew by 12.8% year-on-year, making it the largest contributor to the Group’s overall performance, with total group revenue rising by 0.6% to €UR 9.9 billion. EBITDAaL also saw an increase of 3.2%, reaching €UR 2.5 billion.

“In this uncertain economic climate, these results underscore the resilience of our business and the trust our customers place in the quality of our services across all our regions,” said Heydemann.
