In 2024, the digital health market in Saudi Arabia was valued at $3.2 billion, and by 2031, it is expected to reach $13.3 billion, reflecting the nation’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services.
Programs like the Seha Virtual Hospital are using AI to aid doctors in diagnosing illnesses and conducting real-time video consultations with patients. Another project, Nala, combines AI with wearable devices to provide personalized health advice and care. Telemedicine apps, such as Babylon Health and Cura, are improving access to healthcare by enabling remote consultations, symptom checking, and digital prescriptions, allowing patients to receive medical help without visiting a clinic.
Saudi Arabia’s healthcare advancements are also focusing on wearables, predictive modeling, and AI-assisted diagnostics. Wearables like smartwatches track vital health data, while predictive modeling uses AI to foresee health issues before they arise. AI-assisted diagnostics help doctors make faster, more accurate diagnoses.
To support these innovations, the country is investing in advanced computing systems and technology infrastructure. With 93% of the population owning smartphones, telemedicine adoption is highly feasible. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is driving these efforts to enhance healthcare, boost the economy, and establish the country as a leader in technology.
