Vodafone Business and Maroc Telecom, majority-owned by e&, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deliver advanced connectivity and digital services to enterprises in Morocco.
The partnership will initially focus on smart city and energy management solutions, with plans to expand to a broader array of enterprise services including Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN), Mobile Private Networks, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity services.
Clients will benefit from Vodafone’s digital platforms and solutions, tailored with Maroc Telecom’s deep understanding of Morocco’s regulatory landscape.
This collaboration aims to serve key sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, retail, and public services. It will also provide comprehensive support, covering pre-sales, post-sales, billing, implementation, and ongoing service management.
Vodafone sees this partnership as a way to strengthen its footprint in Africa, where it operates in eight countries through its majority stake in Vodacom. The operator also has a strategic partnership with e& in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In October 2023, the two groups announced plans to collaborate on multinational enterprise services, leveraging their combined scale and complementary geographic reach.
Fanan Henriques, Product & International Business Director at Vodafone Business, emphasized that the partnership would accelerate the adoption of digital services in Morocco, supporting the country’s digital ambitions. Maroc Telecom’s local expertise and Vodafone’s scalable, secure platforms will drive new fintech, healthcare, and industrial applications, fueled by Morocco’s young workforce and entrepreneurial culture.
