Mobile financial services (MFS) provider bKash reported strong financial performance in 2024, posting a profit of Tk 315.77 crore, marking a 67% year-on-year increase. Revenue for the year also rose by 20%, reaching Tk 5,058.20 crore, according to the company’s latest financial statements.
Since its inception in 2011, bKash has played a key role in expanding mobile financial services across Bangladesh. The company, a subsidiary of BRAC Bank, currently holds a 51% equity stake in bKash, which was established in 2010.
Over the years, bKash has attracted strategic investments from prominent global entities, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Alipay Singapore E-Commerce Private Ltd, and SoftBank, helping to fuel its growth and expansion in the MFS sector.
