bKash, a leading mobile financial services (MFS) provider in Bangladesh, has reported a significant rise in both profit and revenue for 2024. According to the company’s latest financial statements, bKash posted a profit of Tk 315.77 crore, marking a 67% year-on-year increase.
The company also saw a 20% year-on-year growth in revenue, reaching Tk 5,058.20 crore. Since its inception in 2011, bKash has played a pivotal role in expanding mobile financial services across Bangladesh.
BRAC Bank holds a 51% equity stake in bKash, which was established in 2010. Over the years, the company has attracted strategic investments from global players like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Alipay Singapore E-Commerce Private Ltd, and SoftBank.
