OSP CyberAcademy Partners with NCSC Bahrain to Deliver Cyber Safety Education to 70,000 Students

OSP CyberAcademy, based in Aberdeen, has entered a partnership with Bahrain’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to provide cyber safety education to 70,000 students across the country. This collaboration aims to equip children with the skills needed to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

The partnership will feature culturally tailored, gamified cyber awareness courses designed to improve cybersecurity knowledge and digital citizenship. The courses, which cater to children aged 6 to 17, will include four interactive modules with guiding avatars that walk learners through real-world online safety scenarios set in landscapes inspired by key landmarks in Bahrain.

The initiative was launched in collaboration with His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed AlKhalifa, CEO of NCSC Bahrain, and builds on the ongoing relationship between OSP CyberAcademy and Bahrain. The academy also hosts the UK pavilion at the Arab International Cyber Security Summit in Bahrain annually and previously set a Guinness World Record in 2023 for the “most people to take an online internet safety lesson in 24 hours,” with 1,550 participants from 44 countries.

Tommy McCarthy, CEO of OSP CyberAcademy, expressed excitement about the partnership: “Children grow up in a digital world, and it’s crucial they know how to navigate it safely. Our courses are interactive, enjoyable, and designed to help children understand the risks of the online world, spot danger, and follow security best practices.”
