Saudi Arabia Unveils Largest Operational Plan for Hajj 2025, Focused on Pilgrim Services

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina is set to reveal its most expansive operational plan for the upcoming Hajj season, with an official announcement scheduled for Thursday, 10 Dhu Al Qa’dah, 1446 AH.

Described as the largest enrichment-focused plan since the introduction of new regulatory frameworks, this year’s strategy is centered on enhancing services for the millions of pilgrims expected during Hajj. The plan features several innovative initiatives aimed at improving the experience of worshippers, including:

  • “Manarah 2” AI Robot: A second-generation, multilingual AI robot designed to serve and guide pilgrims.
  • Multilingual Smart Screens: Interactive screens placed at key locations to provide real-time assistance and information to pilgrims.
  • Digital Qur’an Platform: A global platform for Qur’an recitation and learning, supporting pilgrims worldwide.
  • Surat Al Fatiha App: A multilingual app designed to enhance pilgrims’ understanding and engagement with one of the Qur’an’s most recited chapters.
  • Specialized Initiatives: Programs providing religious, intellectual, and educational support tailored to the diverse backgrounds of Hajj participants.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Sudais, Head of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, emphasized that the operational plan is built on the values of compassion, tranquility, and service. He highlighted the plan’s goal of ensuring that pilgrims can experience Hajj in alignment with prophetic teachings, offering the highest standards of care and support throughout the journey.
