Zain KSA Reports Strong Q1 2025 Results, Driven by 5G Expansion and Digital Services Growth

Zain KSA, Saudi Arabia’s leading telecom and digital services provider, announced its Q1 2025 financial results, reporting revenues of SAR 2.7 billion, a 6.1% increase year-on-year. Net profit surged to SAR 93 million, reflecting a 39.5% growth compared to Q1 2024. The company’s EBITDA stood at SAR 813 million, a 5.2% increase.

These robust financial results highlight Zain KSA’s solid operational performance and sustained growth across all business segments. The company’s strategic expansion of its 5G network has driven increased demand from both individual and enterprise customers, enhancing the digital experience and further solidifying its position as the telecom and digital provider of choice.

Growth was supported by continued demand for Zain’s digital service, Yaqoot, as well as improved returns on investments in adjacent sectors, particularly fintech through its subsidiary Tamam. Zain KSA’s strong performance aligns with its strategy to provide an unmatched user experience in Saudi Arabia’s telecom and digital services market.

The company remains committed to investing in next-gen 5G infrastructure and accelerating growth in key digital verticals in line with Saudi Vision 2030’s digital transformation goals. Zain KSA also made significant strides in enhancing the digital journey for pilgrims during Ramadan, having signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to improve visitor experiences via the ‘Nusuk Hajj’ platform.

Looking ahead to Hajj 2025, Zain KSA has expanded its partnership with Huawei to co-develop AI and data analytics-driven digital solutions aimed at enhancing service efficiency and ensuring a seamless and secure pilgrimage experience. Furthermore, Zain KSA is continuing to strengthen its digital capabilities, leveraging platforms such as Zain Cloud to support digital transformation across public and private sectors. Zain KSA also recently secured a license from the Digital Government Authority (DGA) to independently offer digital authentication services in the Kingdom.
