The Nahda Tech Conference, organized by the Syrian Computer Society in collaboration with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, officially opened today at the Reda Saeed Hall at Damascus University.
The event brings together entrepreneurs, startups, trainers, and digital technology specialists. One of the highlights of the conference is the launch of a comprehensive training camp aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and startup development. The camp is divided into two segments: the first, theoretical, will focus on project management and the creation of an organizational structure to help participants enter the labor market. The second segment is practical, offering specialized training programs for emerging IT projects.
The training will take place across four laboratories at the Society’s building. The two-day conference is expected to benefit around 500 attendees, including 120 participants in the training programs. The conference aims to contribute to Syria’s digital transformation efforts and support technology-driven initiatives across the country.
Additionally, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdul Salam Heikal announced the launch of “Hudhud,” a new Syrian digital platform designed to promote and export local products to international markets, with the goal of boosting the national economy and enhancing the global digital presence of Syrian products.
