Bahrain Bourse, in collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain, marked the successful conclusion of the 2024-2025 ‘Smart Investor Program’ with a celebratory awards ceremony held on Sunday. The event brought together students, educators, and dignitaries at the Bahrain Bourse headquarters. Her Highness Shaikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain, was in attendance, along with representatives from the Ministry of Education and both organizations.

Empowering Future Financial Leaders

Now in its seventh year, the Smart Investor Program continues to play a pivotal role in enhancing financial literacy among Bahrain’s youth. The program introduces students to key personal finance concepts, including budgeting, saving, and financial planning, through activity-based learning. This practical approach helps participants make informed financial decisions as they move into adulthood.

The year’s program culminated in the Smart Investor National Competition, where 48 student teams competed in two rounds. The first phase saw teams creating videos to explain fundamental financial concepts, while the second phase had them develop mobile applications to aid in personal financial planning.

Recognition of the Best Teams

Awards were presented to the top three teams in both government and private school categories. In the government school category, Aamina Bent Wahab Primary Girls School took first place, followed by Hamad Town Primary Girls School in second and Al Mustaqbal Primary Girls School in third. For private schools, Al Hekma International School claimed first place, with Modern Knowledge Schools and Al Raja School taking second and third, respectively.

The ‘Best Video’ award went to H.H. Shaikha Moza Bint Hamad Al Khalifa Comprehensive School for government schools and to Canadian School Bahrain for private schools.

A Shared Commitment to Financial Literacy

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, highlighted that the program remains essential in embedding financial knowledge among youth. He emphasized the importance of the partnership with INJAZ Bahrain and the Ministry of Education in achieving this goal.

Her Highness Shaikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa praised the students’ creativity, noting that the event coincided with the 20th anniversary of INJAZ Bahrain’s mission to equip young people with the skills needed for success in the financial world.

Bahrain Bourse and INJAZ Bahrain also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education and key sponsors, including Ahli United Bank, Bank ABC, and the National Bank of Kuwait, for their ongoing support.
