General Assembly and Brinc Join Forces to Strengthen Bahrain’s Tech Ecosystem

General Assembly (GA), a leader in tech education, and Brinc, a renowned global venture accelerator, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at fostering Bahrain’s growing tech community. The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) marks the beginning of a collaboration designed to address key needs within Bahrain’s rapidly expanding tech sector.

This partnership combines GA’s proven expertise in developing skilled professionals in fields like software engineering, user experience (UX) design, and data analytics with Brinc’s robust ecosystem that supports early-stage businesses. The goal is to accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship in Bahrain by providing startups with access to qualified tech talent and an environment conducive to sustained growth.

According to Ahlam Oun, Director of General Assembly, the collaboration aims to strengthen Bahrain’s tech talent pool and create synergies between GA’s training programs and Brinc’s startup accelerator. “This agreement is all about generating job prospects, professional development opportunities, and fostering innovation,” Oun said. “By aligning with Brinc, we’re unlocking new opportunities in Bahrain’s tech landscape.”

Husain Haji, Managing Director of Brinc MENA, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the importance of connecting tech professionals with startups. “This partnership unlocks a wealth of opportunities and showcases the incredible potential that Bahrain offers,” Haji said.

Brinc, which has been accelerating innovation across various sectors including Web3, AI, and logistics since 2014, is also involved in Bahrain’s Mashroo3i Program, a national initiative supporting aspiring Bahraini entrepreneurs. As part of the new MoU, Brinc will gain access to GA’s extensive global network of mentors and trainers, enriching the mentorship available to Mashroo3i participants. In return, GA’s students and graduates will benefit from opportunities within Brinc’s dynamic startup ecosystem, including internships and talent placements.

This partnership marks a significant step toward enhancing Bahrain’s tech ecosystem, fostering a future of innovation, collaboration, and growth in the Kingdom.
