KABUL: Acting Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mawlavi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, announced plans to construct 26 new telecommunications sites in Samangan province. During his recent visit to the region, Haqqani instructed officials to complete the installation and activation of these sites within three months.
He emphasized that the new sites will cover remote areas of Samangan and connect key routes between Samangan Pul-e-Khumri and Samangan Hairatan to telecommunication services. This initiative aims to expand network coverage, improve connectivity, and enhance access to communication for underserved populations.
The Ministry’s efforts to establish new telecom infrastructure in remote regions are designed to support social inclusion, economic growth, and improved emergency response capabilities across Afghanistan.
