The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank, is investing in a $12 million Pre-Series C funding round for VUZ, a UAE-based immersive media company. The round also includes participation from Al Jazira Capital and Crosswork VC Success fund.
Funds raised will support VUZ’s global growth in immersive live streaming, AI-powered streaming technologies, and live spatial experiences. VUZ posted an impressive 80% year-over-year increase in gross profit in 2024, demonstrating strong market traction.
IFC, managing assets exceeding $1 trillion across more than 100 countries, stated that the investment aligns with its mission to promote digital inclusion and economic development through media innovation.
VUZ plans to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Africa, the United States, and Asia as part of its global growth strategy.
