Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, participated in the Conference and Exhibition for Digital Economy Technologies, “Seamless Middle East 2025,” held from May 20 to 22 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event is organized under the patronage of His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the UAE.
The minister emphasized the strong economic and strategic partnership between Bahrain and the UAE, particularly in telecommunications, IT, digital transformation, and logistics. He highlighted the progress achieved under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Describing the event as a vital platform, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla praised the collaboration among public and private sectors, enabling knowledge exchange among decision-makers, entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators to accelerate digital transformation and boost economic competitiveness. The conference featured over 750 exhibitors, including Bahraini firms, showcasing innovations in digital payments, fintech, banking services, digital identity, e-commerce, delivery, marketing, and artificial intelligence.
During the event, the minister engaged in meetings with regional ministers, officials, investors, and industry leaders, participated in key panel sessions, and reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to technological advancement and deepening cooperation with partner countries to support digital transformation and sustainable development.
