Ncell Becomes First Nepalese Mobile Operator to Adopt GSMA’s Principles for Digital Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities

Ncell has reaffirmed its dedication to digital inclusion by becoming the first mobile operator in Nepal to sign the GSMA’s Principles for Driving the Digital Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities. The GSMA is a global non-profit representing mobile network operators, offering a strategic framework to help bridge the mobile disability gap and promote equitable access to digital services.

By adopting these principles, Ncell demonstrates its commitment to ensuring mobile technology and digital services are accessible to everyone, regardless of physical ability. This move complements Ncell’s existing initiatives such as a 50% data discount under the Sadhain ON plan for persons with disabilities, accessible customer care centers, and fully disability-friendly office infrastructure.

Additionally, Ncell collaborates with organizations supporting Nepal’s para-athletes, extending its social impact further.

“At Ncell, we are not just enabling connectivity but empowering lives,” said Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Director of Ncell Foundation and Special Projects. “By committing to GSMA’s Principles, we take a significant step to ensure no one is left behind in Nepal’s digital future.”
