Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, inaugurated the SAMENA Council Leaders’ Summit 2025 in Dubai under the patronage of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).
In his keynote address, Sheikh Nahyan emphasized that the UAE’s digital transformation is a realized vision, steered by the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He cited significant initiatives in AI governance, advanced education, and infrastructure investment driving this progress.
While acknowledging regional advancements in 5G, AI, and cloud computing, Sheikh Nahyan also cautioned against global trade disruptions and the ethical challenges posed by emerging technologies.
He called on the SAMENA region to foster resilient, inclusive digital ecosystems by investing in skills development and ensuring technology promotes sustainability, inclusion, and economic opportunity for all.
Reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to innovation-led digital growth, Sheikh Nahyan highlighted efforts in cross-border cooperation and regulatory harmonization to support regional advancement.
The summit served as a strategic platform for stakeholders to discuss and develop digital transformation strategies across the South Asia–Middle East–North Africa region.
