Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib held a meeting with e& Egypt’s CEO, Hazem Metwally, to discuss the company’s ongoing and future projects in Egypt, according to an official statement.
El-Khatib emphasized that the telecom sector remains a key area for investment in Egypt and reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to facilitating business expansion by improving the investment climate, simplifying procedures, and enhancing competitiveness.
Metwally highlighted that e& Egypt’s cumulative investments from 2006 to Q1 2025 total EGP 77 billion, with plans to increase investment in the near future. Since beginning operations in May 2007, e& Egypt has achieved several milestones, including being the first to provide high-quality 3.5G services and pioneering 4G services without the need for SIM card changes.
