The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology (MoCIT) has approved 44 new telecom sites aimed at enhancing connectivity in the remote areas of southeastern Paktika province. Acting Minister Maulvi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, during a recent provincial visit, reassured officials and residents of the ministry’s focus on expanding telecom access nationwide. These new sites will provide vital communication services to underserved communities. This approval follows the earlier sanction of 29 towers under the TDF’s 10th phase project, bringing the total number of telecom towers in Paktika to 73.
