Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Abdul Salam Haykal, recently met with a delegation of Jordanian businessmen led by Khalil Mohammad al-Haj Tawfiq, Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During the discussions, Minister Haykal emphasized the ministry’s commitment to providing high-quality, affordable services to Syrian citizens while promoting investment in telecommunications, information technology, and postal sectors. These efforts aim to elevate service standards and deliver distinguished benefits to the public.
He also highlighted the advancements made by Jordanian companies in the telecom and IT fields, noting their pivotal role in supporting development and innovation across several countries in the region.
Khalil Mohammad al-Haj Tawfiq shared insights into Jordan’s successful experience in delivering technical services via specialized programs and operating systems for government agencies. He underscored key opportunities for joint collaboration, particularly in rehabilitating infrastructure, enhancing internet connectivity, and advancing digital technologies.
