Lebanese Operator Touch Signs Roaming Agreement with Zain Omantel International to Reduce Roaming Costs

BEIRUT — Lebanese mobile operator Touch announced a new roaming agreement with Zain Omantel International (ZOI), a major Middle Eastern telecom operator, finalized on May 22. The deal allows Zain and Omantel subscribers from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Bahrain, Sudan, South Sudan, and Oman to access roaming services on Touch’s network at reduced rates, though specific pricing details remain undisclosed.

This agreement aims to eliminate high roaming fees, enabling customers to keep their existing numbers while traveling without needing local SIMs or eSIMs. Touch is also upgrading the financial and technical facets of its roaming services to attract more foreign visitors.

Currently, Touch holds roaming agreements with 425 international GSM operators across 191 countries. This new partnership supports Touch’s strategy to revive Lebanon’s telecom sector and strengthen its regional presence, particularly in the Gulf.
