Azercell and Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center Launch Cyber Education Program for Schoolchildren

Azercell, in partnership with the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, has launched the “Cyber Education Program for Schoolchildren” aimed at raising awareness about digital risks and promoting safe online behavior among young students. The program offers specialized training sessions where participants learn how to protect personal data, navigate social networks safely, and identify and combat online fraud and cyberbullying.

Delivered by cybersecurity experts from the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, the initiative follows international standards and initially targeted schools in the Khizi, Guba, Gusar, and Khachmaz regions. Approximately 250 students took part in the first phase, gaining vital knowledge on current digital threats and effective strategies to address challenges such as trolling and cyberbullying.

The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center was established through collaboration between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, and the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology. The Center’s mission includes training cybersecurity specialists, supporting their ongoing professional development, enhancing public awareness, and driving research and innovation in cybersecurity technologies.
