The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has announced a new partnership with Reboot Coding Institute, supported by French educational platform 01Edu, to train 750 Bahrainis in full-stack development. This collaboration builds on two successful years during which 350 Bahrainis participated in Reboot’s coding programs, with 60 students securing private sector jobs and transitioning into tech careers from diverse backgrounds including finance and engineering.
Reboot Coding Institute offers a two-year specialized training program designed to equip individuals without prior tech skills to become job-ready full-stack developers. Using a ‘learning by doing’ and project-based approach, the institute emphasizes employment readiness by aligning skills training with labor market demands. Additionally, Reboot supports job placement through partnerships with private companies and job fairs.
Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, CEO of Tamkeen, reiterated the fund’s commitment to developing Bahrain’s national workforce by providing specialized training that empowers Bahrainis to pursue in-demand tech careers and access quality job opportunities. She highlighted the importance of tech training to prepare a future-ready workforce in Bahrain’s evolving digital economy.
Aligned with Tamkeen’s 2025 strategic priorities, the partnership aims to enhance the competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, support career development, and promote enterprise growth, digitization, sustainability, and a supportive labor market ecosystem.
