Egyptian Startup Turuq Revolutionizes Last-Mile Delivery for SMEs

In response to Africa’s booming e-commerce sector, Egyptian startup Turuq has developed a tailored last-mile delivery solution designed specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Founded in 2023 by Ahmed Atta, Karim Kamal, and Ahmed Alaa, Turuq aims to simplify logistics complexities, allowing businesses to focus on product design and sales.

Currently accessible via web browser, Turuq plans to launch a dedicated mobile app soon. The platform leverages full automation, real-time updates, and end-to-end transparency to give brands and consumers full visibility and control over the delivery process. This tech-driven approach reduces common issues between couriers and customers, improving the overall delivery experience.

Turuq boasts a 94% customer retention rate and a 76% successful delivery rate even in challenging urban settings. Operating on a pay-per-delivery model with optional premium services, the startup balances steady revenue growth with cost-effective scaling.
