PTA QoS Survey for Q1 2025 Highlights Voice Service Shortcomings Among Pakistani Mobile Operators

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) released its Quality of Service (QoS) survey for the first quarter of 2025, revealing that several cellular mobile operators (CMOs) failed to meet key voice service performance indicators in certain regions.

The survey highlighted that voice KPIs in some areas fell below licensed thresholds, impacting service quality. However, operators employing advanced technologies like LTE Carrier Aggregation and Voice over LTE (VoLTE) delivered superior voice service quality.

PTA has instructed operators to implement corrective measures to enhance service standards and ensure compliance with regulatory benchmarks.
