ShipBee, a Doha-based AI-powered digital logistics marketplace, has successfully closed a $235,000 pre-seed funding round led by Qatar-based GrowthX, with support from two angel investors and $40,000 bootstrapped by its founders. The investment values ShipBee at $1 million (QAR 3.57 million).
Founded in March 2024 by Tamer Raafat and Amer Azani, ShipBee offers a one-stop platform featuring a digital marketplace, AI-integrated SaaS, mobile apps, and express international shipping, catering to businesses and consumers locally and internationally.
The fresh capital will fuel technology development, marketing, team expansion, and regional scaling. The company has already secured key partnerships with industry leaders like Snoonu, Qatar Post, DHL, and NEXX, and has earned accolades such as winning the 1st QDB Innovation Hackathon for Mobility.
Dr. Allan Villegas, an executive committee member of Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), has joined ShipBee’s board, marking a strategic milestone.
CEO Tamer Raafat highlighted that the funding will accelerate ShipBee’s vision to build a smart logistics ecosystem across Qatar and the MENA region, leveraging AI and cutting-edge technology.
GrowthX CEO Hamad Al Hajri expressed enthusiasm for ShipBee’s alignment with Qatar’s Vision 2030 to become a global logistics hub and digital economy leader, affirming strong belief in the startup’s regional and global potential.
