The government has named Sabina Maskey as the Officiating Managing Director of Nepal Telecom. This appointment follows the filing of a corruption case by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) against the former Managing Director, Sangita Pahadi.
According to Telecom spokesperson Rabindra Manandhar, the CIAA submitted the case to the Special Court on Friday. The case implicates Pahadi, several other officials, foreign nationals Long Yong and Hong Wei, and the Chinese company Asia Info Pvt. Ltd.
