Jordan Source, a program under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE) in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), hosted Discover Digital Jordan, a three-day immersive visit from May 19-21. The tour welcomed 10 global CEOs, industry analysts, and thought leaders to experience Jordan’s dynamic digital economy, highly skilled talent pool, and burgeoning innovation ecosystem.
Aimed at strengthening Jordan’s position as a regional hub for Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), the tour featured curated events and direct engagements with local industry leaders to foster long-term partnerships based on trust, innovation, and opportunity.
The opening event at the W Hotel Amman introduced visitors to Jordan’s strategic value proposition through keynotes, presentations, and panel discussions. Highlights included a panel moderated by Andrew Wrobel, featuring Wa’ed Hawamdeh (Concentrix), Sulayman Ellayan (Extensya), and Faisal Kawar (MENADevs), who discussed Jordan’s appeal for scalable outsourcing solutions. Another panel spotlighted inclusive innovation, with leaders Bushra Atassi (SkyTech), Zeena Majali (Crystel), and Nour Khrais (Maysalward) emphasizing women, youth, and underserved communities.
Additional insights were shared by Eyad Abu Khorma (Aqaba Digital Hub), Mutaz Nabulsi (Estarta), Nidal Bitar (int@j), and Amjad Al Sadeq (Network International), covering digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, ecosystem growth, and fintech leadership.
The second day featured site visits to King Hussein Business Park, showcasing innovation at companies like Globitel, Tamatem, and Network International, as well as a demonstration of workforce development at Al Hussein Technical University under Dr. Ismail Hunaiti.
The tour concluded with a visit to Petra, drawing symbolic parallels between Jordan’s rich heritage and its modern digital ambitions.
