Kale Logistics Solutions, in partnership with local firm Novel Muscat, has secured a significant contract from Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) to build and operate the National Port Community System (NPCS). This centralized digital platform will streamline multimodal cargo operations across Oman’s ports, airports, land ports, and free zones.
The project was officially announced during Oman Logistics Day in Muscat, with attendance from MTCIT leaders, Gulf Cooperation Council representatives, and World Bank officials, underscoring its strategic importance for Oman’s logistics development.
Aligned with Oman’s Logistics Sector Strategy 2040, the NPCS addresses four national priorities: market development, trade facilitation, employment growth via Omanisation, and technology adoption to enhance competitiveness. By digitizing cargo handling processes across transport hubs, the platform aims to simplify international trade procedures, boost operational efficiency, and reinforce Oman’s position as a regional logistics hub.
Vineet Malhotra, Co-Founder and Director of Kale Logistics Solutions, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “The system will deliver operational efficiencies, strengthen trade facilitation, support job creation, and contribute directly to Oman’s economic growth.”
Phase I will focus on Oman’s port network, with subsequent stages expanding coverage to all cargo transport modes. The platform is also expected to elevate Oman’s global logistics performance rankings and support the country’s vision for a sustainable and resilient logistics sector.
