Egypt’s ITIDA Launches Enhanced Summer Internship Program to Upskill Over 10,000 University Students in ICT and Digital Arts

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), Egypt, has unveiled an upgraded edition of its Summer Internship Program for university students, in partnership with the National Telecommunications Institute (NTI) and Systel, the official distributor of Motorola Solutions in Egypt. This initiative supports Egypt’s national strategy to equip young talent with future-ready skills for careers in ICT and digital arts.

Designed to train more than 10,000 undergraduates from diverse faculties including engineering, computer science, business information systems, media, fine and applied arts, and art education, the program spans Egypt’s governorates with both online and in-person options through NTI campuses and Digital Egypt Innovation Hubs (Creativa Centers).

With over 760,000 annual university graduates—including 50,000 in ICT and 28% in STEM fields—Egypt boasts a dynamic, multilingual talent pool. The government’s digital transformation vision, led by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and its affiliates, emphasizes upskilling, targeting over 500,000 professionals by 2025 in key areas such as AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

The revamped program offers eight specialized tracks covering Cybersecurity, Software Development and UI/UX Design, Data Analytics and AI, Cloud Computing, Systems Administration, Electronics, Digital Arts, and Digital Marketing. Each track includes 120 hours of training—90 hours technical and 30 hours focused on workplace readiness and freelancing fundamentals.

Participants benefit from up to 70% discounts on international certification exams via NTI, enhancing their employability with globally recognized credentials.

In collaboration with Systel, ITIDA is also launching a dedicated summer track providing hands-on training to 250 students annually in advanced telecommunications technologies including microwave and broadband communications, fiber optics, surveillance systems, satellite communications, and public safety networks. This technical training is fully sponsored by Systel, complemented by soft skills development covered by ITIDA.

This program forms a critical part of ITIDA’s mission to establish Egypt as a regional digital services hub and a premier destination for IT and business process outsourcing, fostering sustainable career paths for the country’s youth.

Participation is free and open to undergraduates in relevant fields nationwide. Interested students can apply through ITIDA or NTI’s official websites.
