The Palestinian Ministry of Telecommunications announced on Monday that fixed-line internet and landline services have been disrupted in the central and southern Gaza Strip. According to Palestine Today News Agency, the outages resulted from repeated disruptions on a main communication route caused by ongoing hostilities in the region.
Communications and internet services were abruptly cut off across all areas of the Gaza Strip following aggressive attacks east of Gaza City earlier last week. This disruption has compounded the hardships faced by residents amid the continuing conflict.
