Alghanim Industries Launches Sama X as Starlink Reseller to Expand Satellite Internet Across MENA and Beyond

Kuwait-based Alghanim Industries announced the launch of Sama X, a new tech venture and authorized global reseller of Starlink satellite internet. This initiative aims to bring Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency satellite internet service to millions across the Middle East, North Africa, India, Turkey, Pakistan, and other regions.

The announcement follows a June 12, 2025 agreement between Alghanim Industries, part of the Kutayba Alghanim Group—one of MENA’s largest private firms—and SpaceX’s Starlink, owned by Elon Musk. Alghanim Industries highlighted that Starlink’s low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation represents the most advanced internet system ever deployed, capable of delivering reliable internet even in the world’s most remote and underserved locations.

Kutayba Y. Alghanim, Executive Chairman of Alghanim Industries, said the partnership is more than a connectivity milestone—it is a step toward a borderless digital future fostering education, innovation, and opportunity globally. Sama X will provide end-to-end digital transformation solutions, including customer onboarding, installation, activation, and local support, leveraging Alghanim’s market expertise.

Starlink operates a constellation of over 7,000 LEO satellites, offering fiber-like internet speeds to over 5 million users in 118+ countries. Since 2020, SpaceX has launched more LEO satellites than all competitors combined, establishing an unmatched infrastructure.

Mahmoud Samara, CEO of Alghanim Industries, emphasized that Sama X is enabling a digitally prosperous future, connecting people to education, remote work, telemedicine, cloud businesses, and global markets. The launch aligns with Starlink’s recent acquisition of India’s Department of Telecom license to offer satellite communication services there.
