ThousandEyes, a Cisco company, provides weekly insights into global network outages affecting ISPs, cloud service providers, and collaboration platforms. Between June 9-15, 2025, there were 376 reported global network outage events—a 24% increase from the previous week’s 304 outages. In the U.S., outages surged 75% from 77 to 135. ISP outages worldwide rose 22%, with U.S. ISP outages spiking 184%. Public cloud network outages remained steady globally but slightly decreased in the U.S., while collaboration app outages remained at zero for the fourth consecutive week.

Noteworthy outages during this period included a 14-minute disruption on AT&T’s network centered in Dallas, TX, and a 40-minute Cogent Communications outage impacting multiple U.S. regions with recurring disruptions in San Francisco and San Jose, CA.

Earlier weeks showed fluctuating outage trends: from May 12-18, global outages totaled 536, up 8%, with U.S. outages increasing 54%. Notable incidents included prolonged outages affecting providers like Cogent Communications, Microsoft, and Amazon. ISP outages tend to vary significantly week-to-week, with public cloud outages also showing volatility, reflecting dynamic network environments.

Collaboration app outages have generally remained low or absent in recent months, indicating stable service delivery in this sector.
