Kacific Broadband Satellites Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Telco Integrators (TI) to enhance satellite internet, broadband, and voice services nationwide. This collaboration combines Kacific’s satellite broadband technology with PTCL’s extensive telecom infrastructure and TI’s local technical expertise to deliver affordable, scalable connectivity to underserved areas.
Under the agreement, PTCL will provide core telecom infrastructure, including its terrestrial fiber network stretching from Khyber to Karachi and international subsea cable access. TI will serve as Kacific’s local service enabler, supporting the deployment and operation of satellite-powered network services across Pakistan.
The partnership will jointly promote Kacific’s broadband offerings to telecom operators, enterprises, and SMEs, aiming to bridge Pakistan’s digital divide.
Aamer Ejaz, Group VP at PTCL, called the partnership a “major milestone” to extend impactful digital services and promote socio-economic development and inclusion.
This deal marks Kacific’s third major partnership in Pakistan in 2025, following collaborations with Paksat International and SUPARCO, and with telecom provider Supernet as an authorized reseller. Kacific utilizes Ka-band spot beams on the Paksat-MM1 satellite to deliver high-throughput capacity to over 20,000 remote sites.
Kacific CEO Christian Patouraux emphasized the critical role of satellite connectivity in enabling reliable broadband access for Pakistan’s underserved population, empowering communities and institutions nationwide.
