LAHORE: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Pakistan Railways have commenced development of a new “Inspection Regime Software” to modernize and digitize the railway’s inspection processes. The initiative was officially launched in a virtual meeting chaired by Pakistan Railways Secretary Syed Mazhar Ali Shah, with senior officials from both organizations in attendance.
The software is a key component of Pakistan Railways’ digital transformation strategy, aiming to streamline inspections through data-driven monitoring and improve operational efficiency. PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf emphasized that digitizing inspection systems will enhance transparency, accountability, and service delivery.
This collaboration underscores Pakistan’s commitment to e-governance and highlights the importance of institutional partnerships in driving public sector digital innovation.
