Eutelsat and Orange Deepen Partnership to Boost LEO Satellite Connectivity

Eutelsat Group and global telecom leader Orange have signed a new multi-year agreement to enhance Orange’s low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications capabilities via access to Eutelsat’s OneWeb constellation. This strategic move expands Orange’s satellite solutions portfolio, offering high-throughput, low-latency, and resilient connectivity for enterprise and government clients worldwide.

The partnership enables Orange to integrate OneWeb’s extensive satellite coverage with its terrestrial networks, ensuring seamless, secure, and uninterrupted service even in remote or underserved regions. This initiative aligns with Orange’s mission to promote digital inclusion by providing critical connectivity regardless of geography, while also supporting global mobile backhauling.

Cyril Dujardin, President of Eutelsat’s Connectivity Business Unit, expressed enthusiasm about reinforcing the relationship with Orange and supporting its goal of delivering premium, ubiquitous connectivity. Jean Louis Le Roux, EVP of Orange International Networks, highlighted the strategic importance of investing in a European LEO solution to provide resilient and sovereign digital services globally.

Orange and Eutelsat have a long-standing partnership, including Orange’s exclusive resale of Konnect VHTS capacity in France since 2020 and a recent agreement in the Middle East and Africa to deliver satellite internet via Eutelsat’s Konnect satellite.
