EDGE and CS Group Sign MoU to Collaborate on Advanced Tactical Communications Project

Abu Dhabi-based advanced technology and defence leader EDGE has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CS Group, a Sopra Steria subsidiary and European specialist in tactical communication and information systems, to collaborate on an advanced tactical communications project.

The MoU sets the stage for integrating an operational command system with a tactical data network, aiming to develop a world-class sovereign communication solution. The agreement was signed at the International Paris Airshow 2025 by Waleid Al Mesmari, President of Space & Cyber Technologies at EDGE, and Pierre Lopez, CEO of CS Group.

EDGE’s Space & Cyber Technologies Cluster will lead this collaboration, focusing on co-developing cutting-edge technologies to strengthen multi-domain digital battlespace capabilities as part of a broader strategic initiative.

This partnership marks a significant milestone in EDGE’s mission to create innovative, ultra-secure communication systems for armed forces, governments, and enterprises operating in the most demanding environments.

Since its launch in 2019, EDGE has been committed to accelerating the UAE’s position as a global hub for future industries, focusing on Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies and sovereign capabilities. EDGE collaborates with frontline operators and international partners to develop advanced solutions involving autonomous systems, cyber-physical technologies, robotics, smart materials, and more.
