South Korea Launches ‘We Mobile App’ to Support Nepali Foreign Employment

The Government of the Republic of Korea has introduced the ‘We Mobile App’ to provide simplified, essential employment-related information to Nepali workers engaged in foreign employment. The app was launched in Kathmandu with financial backing from the Korean government and will be operated in partnership with Nepal’s Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security.

Minister Sharat Singh Bhandari highlighted the government’s commitment to using digital technology to enhance transparency and policy-making in the labor market, calling for collective efforts to ensure safe and regulated labor management.

The app features resources for skill development, financial planning, and mental health support, with a user-friendly interface available in both Nepali and English.

Korean Ambassador Tae-young Park emphasized that the app will deliver accurate, reliable, and timely guidance tailored to the needs of workers. He also recognized returned migrant workers from South Korea as valuable assets for Nepal’s future development.
