Rezaul Karim Arif, originally from Chattogram, Bangladesh, and now based in Melbourne, Australia, has developed PixelFlow, an AI-powered infinite mood-boarding web application that won the prestigious AI Showdown Hackathon hosted by Lovable, supported by Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI. The competition saw over 239,000 apps started and 5,118 submissions, with Rezaul’s project winning both the best use of Anthropic’s Claude 4 model and the overall grand prize, earning $20,000 in total.
PixelFlow is designed as a simple, user-friendly visual notepad enabling designers, marketers, and creative professionals to quickly transform ideas into visual layouts. Unlike complex tools like Milanote or Miro, PixelFlow focuses on ease of use with intuitive features. The app was built in just 24 hours using modern technologies such as React 18, TypeScript, Supabase, and Fabric.js, and incorporates AI features like background removal and image generation powered by Hugging Face models and Google’s Vertex AI.
Rezaul credits his freelancing background and innovative use of custom AI agents that act as virtual team members handling testing, design, and product management tasks to his success. Despite receiving investment offers, he plans to independently develop PixelFlow into a full SaaS product, aiming to expand its features and explore commercial applications in the AI creative tools market. He encourages more Bangladeshis to engage with AI development, emphasizing the accessibility of the field.
