Türkiye’s leading telecommunications provider, Turkcell, continues its strategic partnership with A10 Networks to enhance its carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT) infrastructure through integrated security solutions. This collaboration supports Turkcell’s scalable, reliable, and secure network architecture, enabling it to address growing subscriber demands while defending against evolving cyber threats.
In 2025, Turkcell is advancing its network virtualization efforts using A10 Thunder® software solutions. Key components of this transition include carrier-grade networking, Gi-firewall capabilities, and integrated DDoS protection. Turkcell aims to fully virtualize its CGNAT services in the near term, ensuring an agile digital ecosystem.
Despite global IPv4 shortages, Turkcell has effectively scaled its infrastructure to support millions of subscribers and connected devices without compromising service quality. The company is expanding its IPv6-ready virtualized infrastructure, improving efficiency and enabling compatibility with 5G and IoT deployments.
Turkcell leverages A10’s scale-out architecture to dynamically adjust services in response to traffic growth, ensuring seamless service continuity. Advanced telemetry and real-time monitoring provide comprehensive visibility, streamline operations, and reduce operational expenses by minimizing manual interventions. The shift to software-defined infrastructure also lowers physical footprint, energy consumption, and maintenance costs.
Prof. Dr. Vehbi Çağrı Güngör, CTO at Turkcell, highlighted the collaboration’s success in achieving high virtualization rates, operational efficiency, and network performance gains. A10 Networks CEO Dhrupad Trivedi reaffirmed their commitment to delivering world-class software-based security and infrastructure solutions.
