Huawei Launches AI Education Program in Egypt Through Partnership with Leading Universities

Huawei has taken a major step to expand digital education in Egypt by embedding its Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses into the academic curricula of Al-Azhar University, the Egyptian-Russian University, and 6th of October University. This initiative, officially launched during the Huawei Instructors Forum 2025, will provide over 25,000 students access to Huawei’s world-class AI learning platform.

The partnership was formalized through three strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed by Eng. Asmaa Serag, Director of Huawei Academies Egypt, alongside senior representatives from the participating universities. The collaboration will activate the Huawei AI Program for more than 10,000 students at Al-Azhar University, 10,000 at the Egyptian-Russian University, and 5,000 at 6th of October University.

The AI course, offered free and fully online in both English and Arabic, includes seven engaging sessions that demystify the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence in a clear, animated format. Designed for learners of all backgrounds, no prior technical experience is required. Students can access the course anytime via the Huawei Talent platform.

Mr. Robert Parua, Education Programme Specialist at UNESCO’s Regional Office in Cairo, highlighted the importance of digital transformation in education, emphasizing that the partnership reflects a shared vision to empower youth and create inclusive learning ecosystems.

Huawei’s Vice President in Egypt, Mr. Dou Yong, underscored the company’s commitment to transforming education through technology, connecting academic knowledge with real-world skills to prepare students for leadership in the digital era.

Eng. Asmaa Serag affirmed that this AI initiative builds on Huawei’s successful ICT Academies program in Egypt and represents a strategic move to broaden access to future-ready skills, empowering youth to thrive in a digital-first world.
