Muscat — Oman and Belarus formalized three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on Wednesday to strengthen collaboration and technology transfer in automotive manufacturing and smart technology sectors.
The first MoU, between Oman’s Karwa Motors and Belarusian engineering firm Amkodor, establishes a framework for industrial and commercial cooperation.
A second agreement between Karwa Motors and Belarusian vehicle manufacturer MAZ focuses on manufacturing and distributing transport and specialized vehicles, including trailers. The partnership includes joint marketing, setting up a production line at Karwa’s Duqm plant, technical knowledge transfer, training, and building local capabilities.
The MoUs were signed by Ibrahim bin Ali al Balushi, CEO of Karwa Motors; Aleksey Zanduk, Deputy General Manager of Marketing at Amkodor; and Alexander Atroshchik, Deputy Commercial Director at MAZ.
The third MoU, signed between Oman National Engineering and Investment Company (ONEIC) and Belarusian firm Delivery Software, targets the introduction of advanced digital solutions across Oman and the region. Areas of focus include ICT development, AI applications, fintech, and automation to enhance operational efficiency and support digital transformation.
Aziz al Hasani, General Manager of IT and E-Business at ONEIC, and Andrey Sudakov, CEO of Delivery Software, signed this agreement.
These MoUs were formalized within the framework of the Omani-Belarusian Joint Committee, aiming to deepen strategic ties between companies from both countries.
