Ada Derana 24 was honoured in the Technology Animation category for its innovative and visually engaging coverage of Sri Lanka’s 2024 Presidential and General Elections, setting a new benchmark in election reporting.
Additionally, eTunes, part of the Derana Media Network, won in the ‘Audio Streaming & Monitoring System’ category. As Sri Lanka’s newest record label and music distribution platform, eTunes empowers local artists to reach global audiences through partnerships with Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, and Instagram, helping independent talent go viral.
This dual recognition makes Derana the sole Sri Lankan media network celebrated at this year’s awards, standing among leading broadcasters and innovators from across the Asia-Pacific. The event spotlighted trailblazers redefining broadcasting amid rapid digital transformation and evolving audience habits.
The awards jury included top industry experts from PwC China, RSM, Bain & Company Singapore, and Kearney Australia, highlighting the global significance of Ada Derana’s achievements.
