Muscat – Oman and Belarus formalized three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in Muscat on Wednesday to enhance bilateral cooperation and technology transfer in automotive manufacturing and smart technologies.
The first agreement, signed between Oman’s Karwa Motors and Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor, establishes a framework for industrial and commercial collaboration. This partnership aims to leverage each party’s strengths to promote innovation and industrial growth.
A second MoU between Karwa Motors and Belarusian vehicle manufacturer MAZ focuses on manufacturing and distributing transport and specialized vehicles, including trailers. The agreement outlines joint marketing initiatives, the establishment of a production line at Karwa’s facility in Duqm, technical knowledge transfer, training programs, and capacity building to support Oman’s national industrial goals.
These two automotive-related agreements were signed by Ibrahim bin Ali al Balushi, CEO of Karwa Motors; Aleksey Zanduk, Deputy General Manager of Marketing at Amkodor; and Alexander Atroshchik, Deputy Commercial Director at MAZ.
The third memorandum was signed between Oman National Engineering and Investment Company (ONEIC) and Belarusian firm Delivery Software. This partnership seeks to bring advanced digital solutions to Oman and the broader region, covering areas such as ICT development, artificial intelligence applications, financial technologies, and automation services. The goal is to enhance operational efficiency and accelerate digital transformation across industries.
Aziz al Hasani, General Manager of IT and E-Business at ONEIC, and Andrey Sudakov, CEO of Delivery Software, signed the digital technology MoU.
All three agreements were formalized within the framework of the Omani-Belarusian Joint Committee, which strives to strengthen strategic partnerships and foster economic collaboration between companies from both countries.
